You may not know it but there are a set of Facebook cover image rules that restrict the type of image you can use on the large banner image that you display at the top of your Facebook business page.
If Facebook detects that you are breaking these rules then they can suspend your page for a period of time so it pays to be ware of the requirements.
No more than 20% text
Perhaps the main rule that we find people are inadvertently breaking is the one about the percentage of text that can appear in the image. Facebook limits the amount of text you can display in the cover image to 20%.
Basically your image cannot be a ‘ad like’ Another one is the image must not contain ‘implied functionality’ such as a fake button or a clickable link. Sexually explicit or controversial images are also not allowed.
